The latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday, shows Nigeria sitting on the 63rd position in the world. With the latest ranking, the Super Eagles have now risen three spots from 66th, despite crashing out in the preliminary rounds of the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda.
Cote d’Ivoire, 28 in the world, remains the highest-ranked team in Africa, Cape Verde Islands (33), occupies second with Algeria (36), Ghana (41), Senegal (45), Tunisia (48) and Congo (54) completing the top seven nations in Africa. Meanwhile, Belgium retains their first position in the world with the top five completed by Argentina, Spain, Germany and Chile.
