SOUTHERN/IJAW VIGILANTE: WATCH OVER ELECTORAL MATERIALS

The youths of Otuan, Foropa, Azuzuama, Korokorosei, Koluama; and eight other communities in Southern/Ijaw have come together to protest the forceful seizure of PVCs by APC thugs. One Ebiowei blew a whistle and youths gathered and seized the guns from the APC thugs.
Now words have gone round that APC has perfected plans to hijack electoral materials. Sequel to that report, the CDC members and Youth leaders have formed vigilante groups to watch over matetials, which have been supplied, and areas where electoral matetials will be supplied tomorrow morning.
For the Civil Society, this is a positive development and a push towards democracy and good governance. Government has the responsibility to conduct free and fair elections and the electorate have a role to play in the process.
OPUAMA EXPECTS ELECTORAL MATERIALS
In Opuama Ward 13, in Southern Ijaw Constituency 3, electoral materials are still being expected. As assured by INEC, electoral materials are supposed to be there.
What is happening? INEC should live up to its responsibility.

Reports reaching us from Ekowe is that Ogunboss and his boys as we speak have surrounded the Ekowe Police Station to highjack the materials, they are heavily armed. However, they have been repelled, with the help of security operatives and diehard supporters of PDP.
