Ronaldo: I love Modelling and hope to become a movie star soon

Ronaldo: I love Modelling and hope to become a movie star soon

Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the world’s greatest footballers of all time, says he will become a Hollywood star “sooner or later”. In an interview with Sacoor Brothers, the multi-Baloon D’or winner said he has gotten a number of invitations to star in Hollywood movies but football has made it almost impossible. “Becoming a Hollywood star? Why not?

This is not my objective for the time being. I had some offers but my agenda is actually full,” he said. “I will not close the door, I like this field. But I do not close the door, as it’s one thing I like…” “I think being an actor is a different job, it’s a very difficult job. I think it’s a very beautiful and difficult profession.

So, as I say, I’m sure that sooner or later I will be part of a cast in a movie, I have no doubt.” But Ronaldo added that his main aim is to build an eternal name that his sons can enjoy. “I will do small things to start, gain experience and then we’ll see.

The future is bright. For now, my primary objective is to make Cristiano Ronaldo’s name eternal for my sons. “The players who were able to stay in the top for many years like me are really few. I feel special for being able to reach that level.”

A peep into Manchester United 2016/2017 home kit

A peep into Manchester United 2016/2017 home kit

Adidas are plotting a massive change to Manchester United’s kit for 2016-17 inspired by the first Newton Heath shirt.
Today it seems the ever reliable Footy Headlines were bang on point again as are they have posted photos of a jersey that perfectly matches those initially rumoured designs.

Like all of the other recent Adidas releases, the iconic three stripes have been moved to the side of the body, while there are two different shades of red used.
The main colour scheme of the shirt consists of a two-tone red design – harking back to the green and gold kit of the club’s infancy.
Manchester United were originally founded as Newton Heath back in 1878 and wore a striped green and gold kit. However, the club changed its name to Manchester United in 1902, simultaneously changing their colours at that time to the infamous red shirt that we know today.

Check out the leaked images of Manchester United’s gorgeous 2016/2017 home kit below;

Premier League vs. La Liga: Why the EPL Wins Every Time but I Can't Prove It

Premier League vs. La Liga: Why the EPL Wins Every Time but I Can't Prove It

One thing about voicing an opinion is that you open yourself up to criticism, hatred and most certainly: controversy.
The title of this article will no doubt achieve all of the above on it's own, but for me it's not even a debate.
I'm sure I'm probably biased being an Englishman, but the Premier League offers so much more competitiveness that there is rarely a televised game that I wouldn't watch.
Real Madrid and Barcelona can offer up some of the most entertaining attacking players that have ever lived—in Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but in terms of a competitive league, it's a two-horse race every season.
People could argue that more goals, the superstar players or the amount of Champions League appearances could all be testament to which is the better league, but for every valid point there is an equally valid rebuttal.
For example, what if more goals in a league comes down to the league having poorer defenders? Or does it mean they have better strikers?
Does Barcelona winning the Champions League mean that La Liga is a better league? Or does it mean La Liga's top team is stronger than the EPL's top team?
Any of the lower placed clubs in the Premier League can certainly go to Old Trafford, Anfield or the Etihad Stadium and have a shock result, and that is what football is all about.
I'm not sure I could say that about visiting teams to the Bernabeu and Camp Nou.
The Premier League can certainly boast a higher average attendance than La Liga based on last year's figures, but that doesn't clarify whether the league is better or not.
There will never be a proven way of concluding the answer to this quandary, and it will continue to divide opinion for years to come—much like the argument of whether Ronaldo is better than Messi.
At the end of the day, people have their own views on which league is better and you can't prove them wrong.
Just remember they can't prove they're right either

PSG 2-1 Chelsea: Mikel gives Chelsea slim Hope.

John Obi Mikel scored his sixth competitive goal in 10 years of his Chelsea career, and only his second in the Champions League to give Chelsea a vital and precious away goal heading into the return leg at Stamford Bridge.

The goal came off an assist from Diego Costa who headed down for Mikel, after a beautiful cross from Williams from the corner kick spot. Mikel controlled beautifully with his kneel before slotting past the goalkeeper.

Bournemouth v Arsenal: Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain score as Gunners move to third

Bournemouth v Arsenal: Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain score as Gunners move to third

Arsenal returned to third place in the Premier League after Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s goals ended a four-game winless streak with a 2-0 victory at Bournemouth on Sunday
Arsenal arrived at Dean Court with their title challenge under threat after a poor run in January capped by a failure to score in their previous three league matches.

But two goals in a minute midway through the first half were enough to move them back level on points with second-place Tottenham Hotspur, five points behind leaders Leicester City, who visit the Emirates Stadium in seven days’ time.
The progress of near neighbours Tottenham has only added to Arsenal’s frustration as they have struggled to rediscover the form that took them to the head of the table.
Manager Arsene Wenger was satisfied with the way his side showed signs of the form that took them to the league summit at the turn of the year, with Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first league goal of the season a welcome bonus.

Diego Costa rescues Chelsea

Diego Costa rescues Chelsea

Diego Costa pounced in stoppage time as Chelsea nipped Manchester United’s mini-revival in the bud with a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Sunday.
Jesse Lingard’s smartly taken 61st-minute strike at a rainy Stamford Bridge had set United on course for a third straight win, which would have lifted them to within four points of the Champions League places.
But Costa equalised in the 91st minute, rounding United goalkeeper David de Gea to score and thereby extending interim manager Guus Hiddink’s unbeaten run to 10 matches since he succeeded the sacked Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho’s shadow continues to stalk United manager Louis van Gaal and reports that the Portuguese has been lined up to replace him are unlikely to go away after a result that left his side six points below the top four in fifth place.
Costa’s goal, his seventh in nine games, gave Chelsea something to show for their efforts after an awkward afternoon that saw Kurt Zouma stretchered off with a serious-looking knee injury.
Hiddink’s men remain 13th, 17 points below the top four.

Vardy signs new deal to complete Leicester’s perfect day

Vardy signs new deal to complete Leicester’s perfect day
England striker Jamie Vardy has signed a new contract with Premier League leaders Leicester City that will keep him at the club until June 2019.
The news completed a perfect Saturday for Leicester fans, still in ecstatic mood following the 3-1 win at Manchester City that left them five points clear at the top of the table.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be fighting to achieve something special,” Vardy told the club website (www.lcfc.co.uk).
“I’ve never known a spirit like it, from the owners to the manager and his staff, the players and the fans. I want to be part of it for a long time.
“Leicester have shown nothing but total faith in me since the day I arrived here three and a half years ago and it’s impossible to measure how much that belief has helped me to improve,” said Vardy.
“I’ll forever be grateful for the investment the club has made in me and I’ll spend every day working to repay it.”
The 29-year-old sensation of the season, whose rise from minor league obscurity to Premier League stardom has captured the imagination of a Hollywood scriptwriter, has agreed terms that commit his future to Leicester for a further year beyond his existing deal.
Media reports estimate the contract will earn Vardy, the league’s top scorer, 80,000 pounds ($116,000) a week.
“Jamie is a fighter,” said Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri. “He has had an unbelievable journey to get to this point in his career and continues to play every game as if it’s his last.
“I love his spirit which is a quality I want in my players above all else.
“He has shown what a fantastic player he is and, more importantly, he is part of a fantastic group. I am very happy that he will stay with us for a long time,” added Ranieri.
Vardy, who has scored 18 league goals this season, has established himself as an England international only three years after his final minor league appearance

Teixeira heads to China

Teixeira heads to China

China’s Jiangsu Suning have signed Brazilian Alex Teixeira for 50 million euro ($56 million), the club said on Friday, a new national record that pushed current Chinese Super League spending past England’s Premier League.

The midfielder -- previously a target for Liverpool -- signed a four-year contract, moving from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, Jiangsu Suning said on a verified social media account.

The monster move -- the second time the record was broken in just three days -- comes as China invests heavily in trying to build itself into a world-class football power.

According to the transfermarkt website, which tracks commercial dealings in the sport, clubs in the increasingly wealthy CSL have so far spent 258.9 million euros in China’s current transfer window, which runs until Feb.26.

Premier League clubs spent 247.3 million euros in the European window, which closed earlier this week.

Teixeira is known for aggressive midfield play, and Jiangsu Suning praised his ability to “play any front position”, adding he “can also take charge of the wings”.

The flexibility, it said, means that he can “change positions” when facing different teams, giving the club “more options on attack”.

Teixeira, 26, scored 89 goals in 223 matches for Shakhtar, winning five Ukrainian titles, three national cups and five Ukrainian Super Cups.

Chinese club wants Ezequiel Lavezzi

Chinese club wants Ezequiel Lavezzi

In the latest example of Chinese football’s raid on Europe’s top talents Beijing Guoan and Shanghai Shenhua have launched an assault on Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Previously Lavezzi was strongly linked with a move away from the French giants, but the Argentine now has a dilemma to face after tempting offers from Asia.
With vast and established players such as Gervinho and Jackson Martinez moving to China in recent weeks, and now the PSG man has been promised a similar pay-boost if he moves east. The attacker is reportedly not yet decided on which Super League club to join.
Inter Milan had been rumoured to be leading the race for the 30-year-old’s signature, also Juventus, can sign the player on a pre-contract deal that takes effect when his stay in Ligue 1 ends in June, but the Chinese clubs have the advantage with an instant move possible while their transfer window remains open until February 26.
