A 23-year old armed robbery suspect who was yesterday paraded by the Police in Lagos State has called on the federal government to grant him a loan to start a business.
The suspect, Ayodeji Bakare, who was paraded at the Lagos state Police command in Ikeja, Lagos state on Monday, January 25,  says he will stop being a robber if he gets a loan from the government to start a business;
He said:
"I want Government to give me loan to start a business to enable me to stop armed robbery. I am an armed robber. We are three in number and we used to do stop and search operation. The total money I have made from armed robbery is N500,000."

"I started robbing in 2014  when I came out of prison in 2013, I went to Ikoyi prison for some months after being arrested for robbing a white man of his mobile phone in Ikoyi Club. In prison some inmates are bad and some are good. I joined Eiye Cult in prison, they initiated me by beating me and giving me water mixed with pepper to drink. They later gave me orientation. You can see the Eiye initiation mark on my body"
"When leaving prison, I was giving the name of a man that sells gun. His name is Segun. We armed robbers buy one bullet for 1000 Naira, me and my group usually buy 15 to 20 bullets for an operation. When my bullet finishes, I call Segun in Cotonou,Benin Republic. I go there to meet him and take the bullet".
"Then I enter any bus that is not carrying load to come back, because high way police do not search bus that is not carrying load".

Bakare also said that his wife who waited for him to come out of the prison when he was first arrested for armed robbery, will wait for him again if he is still sent back there because she loves him
He said:  "I am not married, but I have a girlfriend, she loves me so much.And if i go to prison she will wait for me because she waited for me the first time i went to prison"
