Stoke City have rejected an approach from Marseille to take winger Peter Odemwingie on loan for the remainder of the season.
The French club made their offer late on Sunday night after completing a loan deal for another Premier League winger - Newcastle's Florian Thauvin over the weekend.
The 34-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Stoke following the summer arrivals of Xherdan Shaqiri and Ibrahim Afellay and has made just seven appearances this season.ad Also:
Odemwingie, who has six months left on his contract at the Britannia Stadium with an option of another year, is no stranger to transfer deadline day drama having been involved in the most famous deal that never happened in 2013.
