12 Fake Doctor's arrested in Nepal


Police said they recently arrested 12 working doctors from various parts of the nation on charge of using fake academic certificates to get jobs.
The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had swung into the action after it received complaints that the doctors obtained registration certificates on the basis of fake credentials while some claimed themselves as registered doctors without getting registration.
The CIB in coordination with the Nepal Medical Council and the Higher Secondary Education Board had launched the ‘Operation Quack’ to nab the suspects.
Those arrested are Ram Babu Giri from BNC Hospital in Birtamod of Jhapa, Pashupati Chaudhary from Pashupati Model Hospital in Itahari of Sunsari, Kamarul Haqq from Golden Hospital in Biratnagar of Morang, Tulasi Kumar Mahato from Koshi Zonal Hospital from Biratnagar of Morang, and Mohammad Ahammad Siddiqui from Global Hospital in Mirchaiya of Siraha.
Santosh Kumar Yadav from Janakpur Zonal Hospital in Janakpurdham of Dhanusha, Kalyan Biswas from Chanasi Medical Hall in Janakpur of Dhanusha, Binita Yadav from College of Medical Science in Bharatpur of Chitwan, Bhagwan Kewat Mallah from Ajit Medical Hall in Janakpur of Dhanusha, Shailendra Kumar Mahato from Ram Janaki Dental Clinic in Janakpur of Dhanusha, Afajal Hussain from Swasthya Sewa Clinic from Taulihawa of Kapilvastu, and Shyam Babu Sah from Global Hospital in Gwarko of Lalitpur were also arrested.
Among them, one had fake certificates of School Leaving Certificate examinations and intermediate level from Nepal while one other had two credentials of same levels from Inda, according to police.
