A 43-year-old man from Oppland was sentenced to twelve years in preventive detention for sexually assaulting a number of young girls. The man also had sex with animals and owned a number of illegal pornographic images.
News agency NTB reported that the man carried out sexual attacks on a total of 11 girls that ranged in age from infancy to 18 years. The man also on at least two occasions had sex with animals.
After the man was arrested last autumn, police confiscated over 1.5 million photos, at least 60,000 of which were deemed illegal. There were also videos that allegedly showed explicit attacks.
When police arrested the man, they found images depicting the rape of an infant. Police said that when confronted with the photo, the man seemed surprised.
“I cannot look at it, it can’t be me. That is the worst thing I have ever seen,” he said in court.
The man’s lawyer said he would appeal the decision.
