The incident which happened in Agrarian community of Umuenem,Ezinesi-Oduma in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State saw one Mr Friday Anyim and his elder sister Abigail Anyim, engage in a heated argument over the sale of a water tank to enable him (Friday Anyim ) raise money for the purchase of a motorcycle, popularly known as Okada, for commercial purpose.
Soon Mr Friday Anyim picked up an Axe with the purpose of hitting his sister,but one of the wives of his step mother,Bennedeth Anyim rushed to intervene and was hit by the flying axe.The attack left the deceased sprawling on the floor just as Mr Friday Anyim took to his heels.
The incident was confirmed by Mr. Ebere Amaraizu the Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) OF Enugu State.
