A peep into Manchester United 2016/2017 home kit

Adidas are plotting a massive change to Manchester United’s kit for 2016-17 inspired by the first Newton Heath shirt.
Today it seems the ever reliable Footy Headlines were bang on point again as are they have posted photos of a jersey that perfectly matches those initially rumoured designs.

Like all of the other recent Adidas releases, the iconic three stripes have been moved to the side of the body, while there are two different shades of red used.
The main colour scheme of the shirt consists of a two-tone red design – harking back to the green and gold kit of the club’s infancy.
Manchester United were originally founded as Newton Heath back in 1878 and wore a striped green and gold kit. However, the club changed its name to Manchester United in 1902, simultaneously changing their colours at that time to the infamous red shirt that we know today.
