  • What Specs will address your needs?

Screen

Bigger and bigger screens are the big trends in smartphones currently. Surfing the web, playing games and watching movies feels all the more charming, particularly in a HD screen, and makes typing a great deal simpler. It is surely gainful to some be that as it may, not to all.
Bigger screens tend to be the same as a greater and heavier design which is the reason behind why 3.5-inch smartphones like iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s are still so well known.
Devices with 4.7-inch and above LCDs that are packed into a stunningly thin case are pleasant, however using them on one hand is slightly troublesome. Tablet-like 5.3-inch screen is stunning however looks a bit silly when held up to your head. It all comes down to what you value the most – greater canvas for your contents or compactness.

Processor

Smartphones have processors recently like PCs. This decides how quick they can do things, for example, opening applications, pages and multitasking. Android smartphones nowadays respectably have a dual core processor and quad-core and even octa core devices also. Settling for a single core processor, especially under 1GHz is not suggested. A quick A4 dual core chip in iPhone is useful for playing games with same quality as that of consoles.

Memory

There are two sorts of memory, the system memory is for the device’s performance which is great with the standard 1GB, and the storage memory. MicroSD usually accompanies Android phones that can be upgraded up to 32GB. In case you’re wanting to store a ton of music or movies on your phone, 8 GB ought to be sufficient.

Camera

In the event that you cherish taking photographs, you ought to consider 5-MP cameras or higher for better quality. Beside the megapixel, there are more elements you ought to consider, for example, the lens quality, how fast the camera starts and captures and how it can deal with low light circumstances.
For feature quality, decide on smartphones that can shoot 720p HD (1080p is the most noteworthy) footage. The best cameras will give you sharp and smooth-looking images even in faint conditions.

Battery Life

A few individuals tend to ignore this extremely basic element and simply concentrate on how wonderful a device can do. Having a smartphone with a fast processor, effective camera and the astounding 4G LTE will exhaust your battery quickly. To put it plainly, a poor battery life makes your phone useless by lunchtime. Most telephone batteries are 1,700 to 2,000 and 3,300 mAh (newer versions are up to 4000mAh or more).
Operating Systems and software within your device additionally assumes a major part. Windows phones tend to last a day on the grounds that they effectively ping information to the system, while some Android phones keep going for 5 hours or less. You might likewise change your phone settings to squeeze out additional runtime like utilizing Edge or 3G rather than 4G.

Price

This is a key-deciding factor when it comes to buying smartphones. You saw the awesome device with cool features that you would want your dream phone to have but it is too expensive for your budget. How do you go about this? Even though the popular believe is that all the features mentioned above is directly proportional with the price of the phone. Boko Haram : Another attack in Maiduguri leaves 65 dead

Boko Haram : Another attack in Maiduguri leaves 65 dead

At least 65 people were killed during an attack by Islamist militant group Boko Haram near Nigeria’s northeastern city of Maiduguri, a Reuters reporter said after counting bodies at a hospital morgue.
The remains of a dozen victims were burnt beyond recognition in Saturday’s attack when militants opened fire on residents, set fire to houses and targeted a crowd with suicide bombers, security and medical officials said.
A Nigerian military spokesman, Colonel Mustapha Ankas, said that Boko Haram militants attacked the community of Dalori, about 3 miles east of Maiduguri in Borno state.
It was the third attack this week suspected to have been carried out by the insurgent group – and the most deadly. Since it started losing control of territory, Boko Haram has reverted to hit-and-run attacks on villages as well as suicide bombings on places of worship or markets.
In neighboring Adamawa state, a suicide bomber believed to be a Boko Haram militant killed about 10 people on Friday and at least 12 were killed on Wednesday in an attack on the Borno state village of Chibok, from where over 200 schoolgirls were abducted in 2014.
Ankas said insurgents entered Dalori in two cars and on motorcycles and opened fire on residents and burned down houses.
“While people were running for their dear lives…three female suicide bombers attempted to make their way into the crowd … and subsequently got blown up,” he said without providing a casualty figure.
An official of the state emergency agency who was at the scene said there were 12 bodies burnt beyond recognition. “We can’t even pick those ones, they were seriously burnt,” the official who declined to be named said.
Borno state capital Maiduguri was struck by several bombs at the end of December that killed at least 48 people.
The state is the heartland of the seven-year insurgency that seeks to establish an Islamist state. Over 2 million people have been displaced and thousands killed. Maiduguri has swelled to double its size over the last few years to around 4 million as it has become the refuge for most of the displaced population.
Separately, twin suicide attacks by suspected Boko Haram militants killed at least three people in two locations near Lake Chad, around 100 km (60 miles) north of the Chadian capital N’Djamena, security sources said. At least one other would-be bomber was reported to have taken flight, they added

I am going to suffer ------ Father Mbaka

I am going to suffer ------ Father Mbaka

  • moves from duplex to one room apartment
  • Parishioners weep

TEARS flowed uncontrollably from parishioners and members of the Adoration Ministry as fiery Enugu Catholic priest and director of the ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, yesterday bowed out of Christ the King Parish, GRA, Enugu, which he presided over as parish priest for 20 years.
The entire Enugu capital city also stood still as over 30 lorries accompanied by thousands of his adoration faithful escorted him in a motorcade to his new parish, Our Lady Parish, Emene, a suburb of the capital city.
Mbaka’s transfer became a topical issue as a section of the society saw it as a punitive measure for his recent prophecies especially that of December 31st 2014, when he predicted that former President Goodluck Jonathan would be defeated in the 2015 elections. This has however been dismissed by the church who explained that the transfer is a routine exercise done every six years by the bishop.
But Mbaka’s transfer as a parish priest to a resident priest, where he will serve under another priest, has raised eyebrows eliciting further comments from close observers.
Mbaka himself while handing over formally to his successor yesterday told those around that he was going to suffer, moving from a duplex to a room in his new parish but asked them not to worry that God has bigger plans for him.
Hear him: “I know we are going to suffer; between now and few months to come, I am going to suffer; I am going to suffer because I have no place to lay my head; I am  going to suffer because I have no place to keep the Ministry’s assets; I know I am going to suffer; fortunategoing to suffer because I have no ly it’s going to happen in the month of Lent; so I am going to use my exit here to observe the Lent. But Jesus said it to His apostles in John 16:20, ‘You will be sorrowful and the world will be rejoicing but very soon I will turn your sorrows to joy.’ So I am waiting for that moment because for now I know we are going to suffer. The Adoration Ministry is passing through suffering right now; even though I have accepted it as the will of God; it is the will of God through suffering; it is a mega suffering. But however, the grace of God will carry us all; even though some of you may pray that God should remove this thorn from us, the scripture says ‘His grace is sufficient for us; for its even in your weakness that the power of God is demonstrated. So we are moving but don’t forget the scriptures, ‘my brothers they make me keeper of vineyards, my own vineyard I keepeth not. All these while we have been keeping vineyards, building for Christ The King Parish…Bishop Gbuji asked them, how much …but because I don’t want to disclose my charity, they can’t keep that account. How many trailer loads of cement came here? All the monies I made from my cassette and other private crusades all of them were used to build this church. We cannot quantify it but let God be glorified.”
“It is the will of God; and when the will of God either permissive or however, happens, nobody should question it. All you have today is Amen; so to the will of God Fr. Mbaka has said Amen.”
Mbaka said he welcomed the decision of the church leadership with absolute acceptance and obedience, stating that nobody should see him as a recalcitrant priest. He assured that the parish would not collapse due to his exit, and urged the members to treat his successor, Rev. Fr. Theodore Ozoamalu, well, and to assist him in any way he needs help and not allow him to cry.
His words: “Don’t starve him; don’t allow him to suffer; in my own time I didn’t need your help because God blessed me in my own unique way and I am happy. God will keep the parish because we have fought the good fight; I am not regretting anything and the highest gift God has given here is his Holy Spirit who assisted me up till now.”

APC unhappy with Father Mbaka transfer

APC unhappy with Father Mbaka transfer

The Enugu state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is unhappy with the transfer of Ejike Mbaka, a reverend father and spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu (AMEN), from Christ the King parish, GRA, Enugu, to lesser-known Our Lady Parish, Umuchigbo, Njinike, by the Enugu Catholic Diocese. The party is also unhappy that Mbaka, a senior priest, has been ” will be degraded to an assistant parish priest” at his new posting.

Mbaka moved out of Enugu on Saturday, describing his transfer as a witch-hunt and saying he would suffer at his new base, but he promised not to fight anybody as he was “welcoming the church’s voice with absolute acceptance and obedience”. Defending the priest in a statement on Sunday, Osita Okechukwu, spokesman of the APC south-east caucus, alleged that the transfer was influenced by outside forces and expressed concerns over Mbaka’s safety.

“It is wrong to punish the fearless priest for his prophecies, which have proven to be from God,” read the statement. “Whereas we accept that the transfer of priests is a routine exercise of the great Catholic Church, we do not wholly accept a situation where the church allows external forces to influence transfer as the Mbaka’s case suggests, otherwise, future liberation clergy who speak truth to power will be hamstrung to the detriment of the society. “Our major concern is the security implications and the fate of his flocks who are mostly the downtrodden who may find it difficult to go to Emene for salvation and healing.

We frown at anything which will put Fr. Mbaka in harms way or deny his flocks healing.” He maintained that APC remained in solidarity with the priest, observing that he had been under persistent attack from opponents of Muhammadu Buhari since prophesying that he would win the presidential election. He also accused the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo of playing a role in Mbaka’s transfer. “As a party, we have watched with concern and trepidation the criticism, the attack, assault and unpleasant comments hurled against Fr. Mbaka since he providentially prophesied that President Buhari would win the 2015 elections.

“Even the Church did not spare him – he was called unprintable names, yet his prophecy came true. We are happy that Fr. Mbaka was vindicated. “It must be pointed out that accusing fingers were pointed at the direction of some anti-Buhari elements like Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a group that didn’t want to hear the name of Buhari – even though Ohanaeze denied the allegation, doubts still persists. “For we are still at a loss why a senior priest will be degraded to an assistant parish priest.

“We repeat that we are in solidarity with Fr. Mbaka and our major concern is the security of Fr. Mbaka and the suffering of his flocks mostly the poor who need his healing powers. “We had thought that His Lordship Bishop Calistus Onaga could have retained him at the Adoration Ground, as the Bishop Emeritus Gbuji did because of security of his life and easy access by his flocks.”

Niger Delta Militants’ Attacks another On Oil pipeline In Bayelsa

Niger Delta Militants’ Attacks another On Oil pipeline In Bayelsa

Niger Delta militants in coastal communities of Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State continued their attack on oil pipelines belonging to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company following similar attacks on oil facilities in Delta state.
?The explosion, said to have been triggered by dynamite attacks allegedly launched by suspected militants affected pipelines located in Orukari, Golubokiri and Kpongbokiri communities of Brass.
The development, it was learnt had led many residents of the riverside communities to flee into safety. It was learnt that the attacks launched on Thursday night had led to massive spillage of crude from the Agip pipeline into the sea and fishing camps.
?Confirming the incident, member representing Brass Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Israel Sunny-Goli, condemned the attack on Agip pipelines.
Sunny-Goli, in a statement on Saturday, ?said, “Preliminary investigations indicate that the bombing of the pipeline was an act of sabotage carried out to hurt the economic interests of Bayelsa state and Nigeria.
“The latest explosion coming after bombing of pipelines recently in the same area is worrisome as it is capable of forcing oil companies out of operation which would have adverse effect on Nigeria’s economy.”
Sunny-Goli called on security agencies to beef up security around oil facilities to ensure they prevent future attack by economic saboteurs bent on crippling Nigeria’s economy.
The lawmaker added, “I want to condemn the latest attack on Agip pipeline at Kpongbokiri. This is a clear sabotage by economic saboteurs. Recently, they blasted pipeline at Orukari and Golubokiri.
“I condemn this latest attack on Agip pipeline at Kpongbokiri in its entirety. It is sabotage against Nigeria in a bid to cripple the economy at a time the nation is struggling with decline in revenue due to the fall in oil prices.
“It is common knowledge that because of the low price of oil which is our main source of revenue, many states can hardly pay workers’ salaries. This sabotage is capable of crippling the economy if not urgently curbed. If these attacks are not checked and the perpetrators brought to book and Agip decides to pull out of Bayelsa, it would be disastrous for us as a people.”
He urged Bayelsans, especially those that have oil facilities around them to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement to security agencies to prevent further attacks.

In a letter dated January 29 and addressed to the General Secretary of NPAN, the company said it decided to return the money after some senior officials had gone behind to direct their organisations to refund the compensation received from the government even though it was agreed that they committed no offence by receiving the compensation.
It specifically alleged that the chairman of Daily Trust newspaper, Kabiru Yusuf, went behind the association and directed his newspaper to refund the money.

The Sun newspaper had earlier in December returned its own share of N9 million.
NPAN had received N120 million from the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in June 2014 as compensation for the seizure and stoppage circulation of their newspapers by armed soldiers in Abuja and several cities.
Some of the 12 newspapers, which allegedly got the compensation, dissociated themselves from the payments.

EFCC investigates Obanikoro, sons over alleged 4.8 billion Naira transfered from office of Dasuki
The Obanikoro Family with his two sons

Two sons of former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, Babajide and Gbolahan Obanikoro are currently on the radar of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Sources at the anti-graft agency disclosed that about N4.75billion was traced to a company, Sylvan McNamara Limited, in which the two men have interest.

The money was allegedly paid in several tranches into the company’s account number 0026223714 with Diamond bank from the Office of the National Security Adviser account with the CBN.

According to the source, all the transfers were effected between June and December 2014, a period that coincided with the preparation for and the conduct of the Ekiti state gubernatorial election which ushered in the current administration of Governor Ayodele Fayose.
For instance N200m was transferred into Sylvan Mc Namara’s account on June 5, 2015, while N2billion was also wired into the account from the CBN/ Imprest Main account on June 16, 2016.

Another transfer of N700million hit the account on July 7, 2014, while N1billion was credited to the account on July 30, 2014.
Other transfers included N160m on August 8, 2014; N225m on August 22, 2014; N200m on November 14, 2014 and N200m on December 5, 2014.
Both Gbolahan and Babajide Obanikoro, sources disclosed, as directors of the company, were also signatories to its account until 2014 when one Olalekan Ogunseye was made sole signatory to the account.
EFCC sources disclosed that the payments to the company from the office of the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, were made without any contract.
Mr. Dasuki is being prosecuted for allegedly mismanaging $2.1billion meant for arms procurement to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-west region of Nigeria.
