Fuel to stay at 87 Naira

President Buhari presented the 2016 Budget to the National Assembly today

President  Buhari has given Nigerians hope by assuring all that fuel will continue to sell at N87 per litre for now.
Buhari gave the assurance today, December 22, 2015, while presenting the 2016 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly.
He said: “Petrol price remains at N87 per litre for now,” the president said adding that the current fuel scarcity is the “unfortunate result of speculators and resistance to change.”

“Indeed tough decisions must be made but this does not mean that we would increase the level of pains being felt by Nigerians,”Buhari said.
“The problem we face today shall not confront our children and their children. This shall be our legacy,” he added.
The president also apologized for the scarcity and assured Nigerians that the government was working hard to solve the problem.
